Hola! My name is Iris. I was born and raised in the South of the Netherlands. Even when I was a young child I always knew I would become a teacher. And that’s not just because I like to talk…???? When I was 4 years old, I used to put all my teddy bears in a circle and I would read books to them. Now I’m 31 years old and I’m still reading books to a group of a children. Yes, I’m a teacher at primary school. Although it’s fantastic to work with kids, I really enjoy to work with adults too. The students are motivated and the atmosphere is relaxed. The best reward with ‘MORE than les’ is the weekly progress of the students. I see learning new things as a challenge. So what can I do as a teacher to help you? Besides the learning, it’s great to meet new people from different countries. Because I can’t travel all my life (although I would love too) it’s great way of meeting new people. I hope everyone enjoys the Netherlands the fullest. That’s why I like to give some tips about Amsterdam and the Netherlands.
